Matt Millen is Fired!!!

Its an overdue thing that was made apparent today should've been done 3 years ago.
But the Detroit Fans can breathe a sigh of relief but are cautious because the ownership in part is
the big reason as to why the lions in 50 years have had losing season after next and have only won 1
playoff game under Bill Ford's ownership Ford Hired Matt Millen in 2001 Millen with no executive football
experience.  Took over and hired 3 coaches Marty Morningweg, Steve Marriucii and Rod Marenelli it seems as
though Millen had a fascination about other guys with the Letter M in their name. The Detroit Lions since Millen took
over in 2001 are the worse team in the league with an overall record of 31-84 under Millen's regime. Now we're not
optimistic overly but it really couldn't get any worse for this team. The Ford's have had numerous opportunities
to hire guys with real experience and some wanted to come here but Ford knows nothing about hiring well established
guys with good GM experience and good talent scouting and coaching. Hopefully things will change for the better but it
will be some years before things get rolling in the right direction.

Jett Farve!!!

Brett Farve Started his first preseason game as a New York Jets quarterback today.  If you really wanna keep count this is the the third team he's been on in his career, he was drafted by the Atlanta Falcons and played one year with them back in 1991, he's made his mark his whole career in Green Bay and now that after everything that has gone on this whole year and both him and the packers have moved on and he's with the Jets now everything looks good.

I watched only his 2 possessions and I believe that yeah he is another year older but he's still the same ole Brett Farve, or as John Madden would say the Gun Slinger.  I'm sure the Jets will do good, as long as both him and the team get the chemistry down, everybody is on the same page, they can probably make a run towards the playoffs this year.  At best I'd give them a Wild Card spot if they do get in, but Tom Brady may have some serious competition now in the AFC East Division.  But that all will remain to be seen if Brett Farve is affected by the Madden Curse in which players on the Cover tend to have bad or injury hit years.  We will see. Brett Farve was 5/6 for 48 yards he was sacked 1 time, and threw a touchdown pass.

A New Era

Green Bay Packers New starter at Quarterback Aaron Rogers made his debut Monday night last night against the Bengals, I just watched the highlights on Espn Sports Center and so far he looks pretty good as a first time QB.  Not to expect too much of him but his pocket presence and his delivery in his passes looked pretty good.  So maybe this might be the Era of the Farve Student to come in and make his mark.  although he'll be forever compared to Brett Farve as long as he's in Green Bay but I'm sure he's not worried about measuring up, he just wants to win Football games.
His stats last night were pretty decent for playing the first half last night.  Bengals went on to win 20-17

Will Farve Play???

I'm pretty sure everyone is tired of the drama thats surrounding Brett Farve and the Green Bay Packers, I know I am, but I want everyone to know that I have a different opinion on this since the first rumors went out.  At first I was like look he's played like 17 seasons he has a Super Bowl Ring, he has records that only 2 quarterbacks right now would possibly even get close to breaking them in Peyton Manning and Tom Brady.....

What does he possibly have left to prove let alone play for, well he has nothing to prove but after all the media linked rumors came out I think Brett Farve in his mind was like well Heck maybe I do want to still play.  Now its Eminent that he does want to come back, I first thought why, for what, he has nothing left to play for, but its simple his desire is to still be in that huddle and call the plays and sling the football around as some Espn analysts would say.  And now i feel that well hey if he wants to play that bad Let him play, Its like an itch you can't scratch unless you get out there and go do it and live in the moment, now of course he is playing for the love of the game but He does want to win a Super Bowl, competition is much more intense than when he won the Super Bowl back in 1996' and over the years he's had no problem adjusting to the game with players being bigger, faster and stronger.

It's obvious Green Bay wants to move on and thats fine, but looking at the bigger picture, if they are serious about winning a Super Bowl then they should let Farve come back and try to lead the troops to victory, I understand that they want to move on and give Aaron Rogers his time, and Aaron Rogers may surprise everyone in how good he is, but the likely picture is is that they will be in kind of a rebuilding stage should they do that, but the right thing thats going on now is that they will trade Brett Farve to a team that may be interested, seeing how much they can possibly gain.  For the Packers its probably a win win situation, because I can't see Farve winning much with another team in another system.  The Packers can win with Farve, but if they trade him, they can bring in a key guy that can probably make an instant Impact and help them to make another possible playoff run as well as win their Division in the NFC North.

NFL - Training Camp, Preseason Around the Corner

training camp for most teams have started, I don't think The patroits will be going undefeated again through this season like last season, I'm sure most teams will be getting better, so much to the point that most games should come down to whoever has the ball last. But its just my speculation, games would be good and very interesting to watch if all of them went like that. Some other team I'm sure will most likely rise up like maybe the Jets, or Cleveland, or the Bengals. But since i live just outside the Detroit Michigan Area, me like other Lions Fans are at least waiting for our team The Detroit Lions to have a Winning season, since they haven't had one in a while.
