2008 College Football Power Rankings

Pete Carroll Coach at USC, Nick Saban Coach at Alabama, Coach Jim Tressel Coach at Ohio State

Ahh yes The Likely BCS (Bowl, Championship, Series) Rankings are in. Now this is according to USA Today. The Associated Press or (AP poll) as most go by haven't posted their take on this season's college football rankings The Ap, USA Today, and ESPN usually have similar but different takes on who should be ranked where, but the AP poll is what usually everyone falls by. As you can see my team Michigan is second to last in the Top 25, at #24. Personally i thought that was kind of low, but for the people they lost to the draft and senior class leaving out and guys coming in, i guess rightly so. I guess our huge upset over Florida in the Capitol One Bowl defeating the mighty former National champion Gators for 2007 and Heisman Winner Quarterback Tim Tebow, the only Sophomore to win the Heisman was only good enough just to keep us in the Top 25 ranking. Now i know that we've lost 4 straight years to Ohio State but for some reason even though they've been blowing the Big Game the last 2 years some how they're still near the Top. I don't know how or what kind of recruits Jim Tressel is bringin in but there still good enough to be in the Top 3. Shoot its Like Ohio State has Become the USC of the Big Ten. As a Michigan Fan I don't like Ohio State, but truth is they've dominated us for the past 4 years well except that one game where it was anybodies ball game in the last 5:00. But I was sure that After Troy Smith Michigan or anyone else wouldn't have any problems trying to disrupt the offense. Nope, they still have good talented Offensive linemen, a great running game. and a stout D, their not a shut down defense to say but they will not make mistakes lets just say. They're very fundamentally sound, and unless your game plan for moving the ball is very strategic and or balanced then you're not going to do much. I'm looking forward to this season, should be some really thrilling games, and Hopefully Rich Rodriguez does well in his first year, and the spread offense works well with Michigan, Hopefully its always been our achilles heel when we play other teams that have it and with very mobile and playmaking Quarterbacks, but Hopefully that will be us this year and years to come.
